Why RV Road trip to Key West Isn't a Good Idea.

Roads in Key West
The Florida Keys are long and narrow. Most destinations you'll want to visit from restaurants, state parks, or other activities will be 10 to 30 minutes or more from your RV campground. This means you'll want a separate vehicle to explore the islands or have a small RV (like a class-C or van) for getting around.
Does Key West Have RV Campgrounds?
Key West doesn't have any RV camping on the island and the roads there are TINY. It would not have been enjoyable to drive our 33-ft RV around on the island, and I recommend avoiding bringing your RV to Key West at all. It's really easy to speed across the Keys.
Can you park an RV on the street in Key West?
Overnight RV Staying
City ordinances forbid overnight parking on city streets, parks and beaches. It also forbids RVs in excess of 20 feet in length or seven feet in width from parking on city streets; these vehicles may park in designated parking lots, but not for overnight.
Does Key West have an RV park?
Boyd's Key West RV Campground - Waterfront RV & Tent Camping. Nearing the end of US 1, your camping adventure starts at Mile Marker 5! That feeling you get when you enter Boyd's Front Entrance is the one that will keep you coming back again and again!
And with prices starting as low as $54 per night and an average price of $80 per night, camping has never been more affordable.
